Flying Dutchman Records 是美國 70 年代非裔美國人覺醒、前衛爵士與 Proto-Rap 歷史上最傳奇且的獨立爵士名廠，創辦人 Bob Thiele 是60 年代名廠 Impulse! Records 的掌門人與當家製作人，也是 John Coltrane 最信任的製作人（一手促成了經典神作《A Love Supreme》的誕生），同時也是 Louis Armstrong 名曲〈What a Wonderful World〉的共同創作者與製作人，1969 年離開 Impulse! 後，Bob Thiele 為了擁有自由的藝術主導權，正式成立了 Flying Dutchman Records。
