Bill Evans 鋼琴、Eddie Gomez 貝斯、Marty Morell 鼓手的三重奏，於1972年在荷蘭的劇院演出的專輯《Momentum》這張在很久以前一直是失傳的作品，荷蘭鋼琴家 Jan Warntjes 與 Bill Evans 的經理人達成協議後，錄下了這場傳奇演出，多年來一直是私人收藏。直到 2012 年決定公諸於世。
Bill Evans 的遺孀 Nenette Evans 被邀請為這張專輯命名時，她表示：「這場 1972 年的錄音，正好是 Bill 個人生活、健康與事業上迎來重大轉機，所以我希望為這張專輯取名為《Momentum》」
